WIC Solutions
The Governor's Award
With the Arizona in Motion WIC System, we developed and implemented a system that has been recognized by national organizations, including BCA and the USDA, as the most functionally rich, fully implemented, and proven WIC system in operation throughout the country.
The AIM System Development and Implementation project was awarded the
Arizona Governor's Spirit of Excellence Award.
What Our Clients Say
“A mere ten months ago, our clinic staff completed dozens of manual, repetitive tasks for thousands of families applying for WIC benefits each month. The process was overwhelming and ripe for human error in capturing the data on the paper form. Since the transition to AIM, staff and clients report that the clinics run more smoothly, appointments are prompt, and the system does not allow invalid answers in critical fields. The immediate availability of data to guide staffing, client and program decisions has already begun to help streamline and simplify processes. Overtime from running behind schedule has practically been eliminated with a documented reduction of 88%. AIM has definitely enhanced our ability to efficiently respond to the needs of our clients.”
Rebecca Melland - Pima County WIC Director
“The Marana Health Center WIC program staff noticed many improvements in efficiency since the implementation of AIM. No longer having to write the name, date of birth, WIC identification number, address and phone number, plus numerous other health related details for each participant on every hand-written collection tool is a real time saving. Now, that time allows for more in-depth delivery of nutrition education. Another improvement is the issuing of food instruments that allows tailoring to meet the nutritional needs for each participant. The former system would take one month and sometimes two months for the batch system to allow a food package prescription change. Now, the range of options is the entire list of available food packages and can be produced immediately.”
Christine Winters - Marana Health Center WIC Director
“The on-line availability of information from the AIM database makes it easy to locate the correct record when the client walks in the door instead of trying to find improperly filed folders. Client screening is faster, complete and more accurate with AIM. Reports listing clients that missed their appointment allows the clinic staff to easily reschedule with the client.”
Rochelle Figueroa - Graham County WIC Director
“The AIM system has substantially reduced the amount of storage area needed for client records and the amount of office supplies needed to create a paper copy of the client records. AIM eliminates the manual plotting of weights and heights and the calculation of pregnancy stages for women. The ability to quickly make future appointments and search for pending appointments is representative of the numerous tasks that AIM has made less time consuming.”
Josefa Renteria - El Rio WIC Director
“AIM has had a positive impact on the WIC program in Mohave County. Our community nutrition workers spend less time on paperwork and more time providing nutritional education. We feel this has enhanced the overall quality of the program. We are now very comfortable with AIM's basic functions and are beginning to explore some of the options available through this technology. We are particularly excited about having immediate access to data specific to our county. This timely information will allow us to continue to make improvements in customer service and efficiency.”
Carol Glick - Mohave County WIC Director
“With AIM, the certification process is standardized for all of the staff. The paperwork has been minimized and allows more time for client education. AIM allows for printed checks for special food packages that would otherwise have to be hand written. Everything is data entered into the database so there is no need to decipher handwriting like we did with the previous process.”
Anne Staffnik - Apache County WIC Director
