LATSnet Product Description
The CMA Leave and Accrual Tracking System (LATSnet) automates the manual processes of tracking employee leave, attendance, and labor distribution. The LATSnet application, written specifically for state agencies, conforms to the accrual rules defined in many state agency leave and attendance manuals, and accommodates the various agency interpretations of the accrual rules per contract provisions with flexibility. It tracks accrual rates (both frequency and rate) by bargaining unit; maximum accrual amounts; application of bonus hours and occurrence; maximum usage termination dates; and designation of holidays as floater or regular.
The built-in charge and accrual rules, based on leave and attendance manuals, include:
- Tardiness
- Annual Leave
- Personal Leave
- Sick Time (including IPP and HOP)
- Comp Time
- Holidays and Floaters
- VRWS
- Full and Part-time Employees
- Miscellaneous Leave (defined by agency)
- Payment Interface to HRIS and PaySR
Specifically, LATSnet captures employee hours and charges for a given pay period, then applies the charges and accruals to current leave balances. Employee charges and accrual records are retained online, providing a complete historical record. Reports are identified and contained within the core application, and allow selection of locations and division-bureau-section codes. These reports can also be used to track trends, such as leave abuse and excessive use, thus allowing an agency to better manage its work force.
