Customer Care Center
CMA's team of trained professionals assists customers with resolving WIC system issues via a toll free call support center. Utilization of industry standard tracking software that records call information, manages follow-up and call escalation, and generates reports, guarantees superior service.
Design and Development
With input from our customers, CMA applies proven methodology that ensures accurate and appropriate system design. CMA's software engineers adhere to strict Quality Assurance procedures, increasing team efficiency.
Documentation
Through combined efforts, CMA and the customer create clear, concise, standardized documents such as Detailed Functional Design, Technical Systems, Test Plans, Training Manuals, Online Help, and Security and Disaster Recovery Plans.
Public Health Consulting
CMA provides consulting and automation support for other public health programs such as Commodity Supplemental Food (CSFP), Farmer's Market, and Immunization.
Testing
Formal and comprehensive test plans, based on real-world WIC scenarios, defines the context for testing. Testing begins at the unit level and progresses through four levels-unit, integration, system, and acceptance-to a fully tested system.
Training
CMA's professional trainers structure curriculum around the specific needs and experience of WIC users. Each WIC user is given hands-on training, along with evaluations, to educate them on the functionality and use of the new system.
Product Features
Appointment Data and Clinic Schedules
Maintains participant appointment scheduling data, clinic staffing information, and clinic resource schedules. Advanced features include; an automatic next available appointment indicator, schedules by service types, printouts of daily schedules, appointment reminders, support of interfaces to autodialer technologies, and notification of missed appointments to program staff and participants.
Certification
Collects and maintains information about WIC applicants and participants allowing for important data such as demographic and income information, nutritional risk calculations, automated growth charting, food package tailoring, process transfers and referral tracking. Identifies participant eligibility for other governmental health programs and eliminates duplicate participation.
Integrated Immunization Tracking
Provides an integrated approach to accessing and maintaining relevant information on child immunization records. Possesses interface capability with Centers for Disease Control. This feature allows for scheduling and notification of required vaccinations to help comply with the Public Health Service's Healthy People 2000 initiatives.
Caseload Management
Supports tracking and analysis of participation in the WIC program, including allocation and monitoring of caseloads. Reports program participation to State and Federal authorities with indicators detailing maximum participant capacity based on staffing and resource limitations. Provides flexible information querying capabilities to satisfy ever-changing daily needs.
Food Instrument Processing
Conforms to standard banking requirements, allows for laser printing of food instruments on plain paper, and prints food instruments in bulk or on-demand. On-demand generation can service either a single participant or an entire family allotment through the use of the Family Number. Provides reconciliation of redeemed instruments, voiding of unused instruments, and detailed vendor payment reports. Allows for standard and custom food package tailoring and proration of food instruments.
Fraud and Abuse Prevention
Provides issuance information verification at time of food instrument redemption. Protects from forgery attempts through the use of watermarks, laid lines and a maximum redemption value indicator. Demands timely redemption by stale-dating food instruments after sixty-days.
Nutrition Education
Offers individual client health monitoring, health history capture, nutrition education sessions and dietary assessment at the time of food instrument issuance. Includes on-line soaping, nutrition care plan protocols, clinical protocols, and automatic risk factor determination. Supports WIC population surveillance, and health statistics for interagency reporting.
Vendor Management
Supports retail vendor management with vendor authorizations, automation of vendor record keeping, monitoring vendor education, identification of high-risk vendors, tracking investigations and routine monitoring, and coordination with the Food Stamp Program. Provides VAMP and regional reporting capabilities.
System Administration
Maintains the flexibility, efficiency, and security of the WIC system to ensure accurate data tables, system-wide security, and efficient archiving capabilities. Provides flexible determination of administrative role access and advanced reporting of estimated food obligations to State and Federal administrators.
